Padeepa Manoj (Germany based)

‘Paddy’ is a C-Suite Finance professional with both industry and practice experience. He has excelled in senior executive Finance positions and assignments around the globe. He is an experienced, value and purposedriven manager who thrives in uncertain, ambiguous and complex environments, and has proven capabilities at both strategic and operational levels. Paddy’s career started at Arthur Andersen in Corporate Finance in Melbourne, Australia. He worked primarily in the Asia Pacific region during the Asian Financial Crisis with assignments in Hong Kong and Korea. In 2001, he was transferred to Zurich, Switzerland and soon after pivoted into industry. This initially involved working in orthopaedic / medical devices and then the automotive sector with General Motors where he completed assignments in Switzerland, the UK, Ireland (as the CFO), and Germany (as the Financial Controller of the European Division). Paddy brings a great deal of experience to this project. This includes: • Working as Financial Controller of a large MNC and managing the accounting, controlling, reporting, budgeting processes of a division with 20+ markets with global revenues of €25B+ and with fixed costs of €1.0B+ • Serving as CFO of a legal entity charged with the transformation and restructuring of the business unit. The role also included responsibility for statutory reporting and dealing with external advisors and auditors17 • Leading the negotiations for the divestment mandate on behalf of the Management Board as part of their restructuring plan Paddy joined VBM Associates in October 2020 and has immediately applied his commercial, finance and project management experience on a number of projects within pharma and CHC. Paddy will act as Project Manager as well as the Finance lead for the Project with BIAH.
